Privacy Policy

What we collect, what we do with it, and — the part most policies bury — exactly who does and does not get your phone number.

Effective September 17, 2026 Last updated September 17, 2026

Who this covers

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and who does and does not get to see it. It applies to this website and to every call, text and email that comes out of our branch.

Michael and Sherry Wright are branch owners of E Mortgage Capital, Inc. (NMLS #1416824), a licensed mortgage lender. Throughout this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean E Mortgage Capital, Inc. acting through the Wright branch. As a financial institution we are also governed by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which sets a floor for how we handle what it calls nonpublic personal information. Where this policy and the law differ, the stricter of the two governs.

What we collect

What you give us directly

  • Name, email address, mailing address and phone number.
  • What you are trying to do — buy, refinance, or take cash out — along with the property state, an approximate loan amount and a credit-score range you estimate yourself.
  • Anything you type into a free-text field, and any document you choose to upload, such as a Loan Estimate you want us to review.
  • Whether you checked the box consenting to calls and texts, and when.

What we collect automatically

  • IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you viewed.
  • Cookie and pixel data, described in its own section below.

What we receive from others

  • Lead information from advertising platforms and licensed lead providers, where you submitted a form and consented to be contacted. We keep the record of that consent — the disclosure you were shown, the timestamp, and the page it came from.
  • Credit reports, employment and asset verifications, appraisals and title work, but only once you have applied for a loan and authorized us to pull them.
What we do not ask for here

This website does not collect Social Security numbers. A quote request is not a loan application, and nothing you submit through this site affects your credit. When the time comes to apply, that happens inside our secure application system — never through a web form or an email attachment.

How we use it

We use what we collect to do the job you asked us to do:

  • Prepare and send the rate quote or Loan Estimate review you requested.
  • Reach you about that request, and answer your questions.
  • Take, process, underwrite, and close a mortgage loan if you decide to apply.
  • Keep you posted on the status of a loan in progress.
  • Send you rate updates, market notes and product information, where you have consented to receive them.
  • Meet our obligations under federal and state lending law, including record retention, fair-lending monitoring and anti-fraud requirements.
  • Understand which advertising and which pages actually bring people to us, so we spend our marketing budget sensibly.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or rent our contact lists.

Text messaging and mobile information

If you give us your mobile number and check the consent box, you are agreeing that we may call and text you at that number, including with an automatic telephone dialing system or a prerecorded voice. Consent is never a condition of receiving a quote, of applying, or of any purchase — you will get your quote either way. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Full program details, message types and frequency are set out in our SMS Terms.

Mobile information is never shared

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

All of the categories of sharing described elsewhere in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared, sold, rented or transferred to any third parties or affiliates.

Stopping messages

Reply STOP to any text and we will stop. You can also tell us to stop by any other reasonable means — say so on a call, email us, or reply with words like “quit,” “cancel,” “unsubscribe,” “end” or “opt out.” We honor a request to stop across every channel it reasonably covers, and we act on it immediately rather than taking the ten business days the rules allow. Reply HELP to any text, or call (949) 336-1611, for help.

If you have a loan in process with us, we may still need to reach you about that specific transaction — a document we are missing, a closing date, a rate lock expiring. Those messages are part of the service you asked for, not marketing.

When we share information

We share personal information only where it is needed to do the work, or where the law requires it. Specifically:

  • Wholesale lenders and investors — once you apply, to price, lock, underwrite, fund and later service or sell your loan.
  • Settlement service providers — title companies, appraisers, escrow, insurers and credit bureaus, to the extent your file requires them.
  • Our own service providers — the companies that host our systems, deliver our email, and handle our phone and messaging. They may use your information only to perform that service for us, and for nothing else.
  • Regulators, auditors and law enforcement — where we are compelled to, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud.
  • A successor — if the business is sold or merged, subject to this policy.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing. We do not resell leads. And as stated above, your mobile number and SMS consent are carved out of every category on this list and are shared with no one.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site uses cookies to keep it working and to measure whether our advertising is doing anything. That includes analytics tools and advertising pixels from platforms such as Meta and Google, which let us see that an ad produced a visit and, where you consent, show our ads to people who have visited before.

Because mortgage lending is a Special Ad Category on the major platforms, our audience targeting is restricted by law and by platform policy: we cannot target or exclude by age, gender, ZIP code, parental status or marital status. Geographic targeting is broad by design.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser, and you can adjust ad personalization inside your Meta and Google account settings. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using this site. Opt-in data for text messaging is never passed to any advertising platform.

Third-party tracking across sites

Yes — the analytics and advertising services named above may collect information about your browsing over time and across other websites, not only while you are on ours. That is how an advertising platform knows an ad it showed you led to a visit here. We do not control what those companies collect on their own sites; their own privacy policies govern that.

How we respond to Do Not Track signals

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is still no common industry standard for what a site must do when it receives one, and we will not claim to honor something we cannot deliver end to end: this site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, because the third-party advertising and analytics services we use do not act on them either. The controls that do work are the ones named above — block or clear cookies in your browser, and turn off ad personalization in your Meta and Google account settings.

Your choices and your rights

Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw a consent you previously gave. Email michael@emortgagecapital-teamwright.com or call (949) 336-1611.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined in those laws.

Some information we are simply required to keep. Mortgage records carry federal and state retention schedules, and a deletion request cannot override them. We will tell you when that is the case rather than quietly declining.

Marketing email and mail

Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link. You may also ask to be placed on our internal do-not-call and do-not-mail lists, which we maintain independently of the National Do Not Call Registry.

How we protect and retain information

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and systems that limit who inside the branch can see what. Documents you upload are stored in our secure systems rather than in email. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not ask for your Social Security number, income documents or account numbers over email or through this website, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does, including anyone claiming to be us.

We keep information for as long as the relationship lasts and afterward for the period federal and state lending law requires, then dispose of it securely.

This site and our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes, and how to reach us

If we change this policy we will post the revised version here and move the “last updated” date at the top of the page. Material changes to how we handle text messaging will be described plainly rather than buried.
